How to Use Your World Hunt

⚡ Quick start: 4 steps

1. Install Your World Hunt. Get Your World Hunt free from Google Play on your Android phone and open it.
2. Allow location, or set it yourself. Allow location when asked so the map, wind and moon follow you. No GPS fix, or planning a spot from home? Tap the WIND @ line on the weather card (or SET LOCATION) and search a city, ZIP, address or latitude/longitude. Tap USE GPS to switch back.
3. Drop your first stand. Tap MARK in the bottom dock, pick the stand pin, then tap the map where your stand is. Free includes 1 stand plus a couple of each game mark and boat ramps.
4. Read the wind before you walk in. Check the weather card: wind speed and direction on its own line, barometric pressure with a rising, falling or steady arrow, and the moon chip. Plan your entry so the wind carries your scent away from where deer will be.

🗺️ Hunting map & marks

1. Use LAYERS to switch between satellite, streets and topo maps.
2. Tap MARK, choose a pin (stand, game, boat ramp and more), then tap the map to place it.
3. Long-press any mark for its Pin options: directions, Weather Here, focus, or remove it.
4. Tap TRACK to record a breadcrumb trail while you hunt, and use GPS return to see bearing and distance back to a mark.
5. Tap MARKS to see every pin you've saved in a list.

Free includes 1 stand, 2 boat ramps and 2 of each game mark. Premium unlocks unlimited stands, marks and saved track history.

🌬️ Wind, pressure & Weather Here

1. The weather card shows wind speed and direction on its own line, so it stays readable on small screens.
2. Watch the barometric pressure arrow: rising, falling or steady.
3. Long-press any mark and tap WEATHER HERE to see conditions at that exact stand, not just where you're standing.
4. No GPS? Tap the WIND @ line and search a city, ZIP, address, or type latitude/longitude (for example 32.84, -79.85).

Premium adds extended weather and alert options on top of the free wind, pressure and basic alerts.

🌙 Moon, sun & deer feeding times

1. Tap the moon chip on the weather card (it shows the phase and % lit) to open the drop-down.
2. Moon phase, moonrise/moonset and sunrise/sunset are free.
3. With Premium, the same panel shows deer feeding times: major and minor windows with a Good, Fair or Poor rating for the day.
4. Scroll the panel to see every window. Use it as one planning input alongside wind and pressure.

Know the major and minor feeding windows before you climb. Deer feeding times are Premium.

🟧 LAND public-land overlay

1. Open LAYERS and turn on LAND to paint public-land boundaries on the map.
2. Use FILL, LINES and LABELS to tune how the boundaries look over satellite.
3. With Premium, the live US public-land overlay loads while you're online.
4. Hunting with no signal, or outside the US? Get a Land Pack (below) and download it to your phone.

Land layers are an informational guide, not a legal survey or proof of access. Always confirm boundaries and permission.

🧭 Directions: walk, auto, ATV, UTV & boat

1. Long-press a mark and tap DIRECTIONS.
2. Pick how you're traveling: WALK for foot paths and trails, AUTO, ATV for tracks and dirt roads, or UTV for service and forest roads.
3. Going off-trail? WOODS gives a straight bearing through the timber.
4. Hunting by water? Mark your boat ramps, then choose BOAT and pick a put-in and take-out. The open-water leg uses a bearing and your boat speed for the ETA.

📏 Sharp Shooter camera rangefinder

1. Tap SHARP on the map to open Sharp Shooter, then open the camera rangefinder.
2. Point at the animal. On-device AI fit finds it and sets the brackets, or tap any object to lock on.
3. Pick a preset (deer, elk, turkey, hog, coyote, person, truck, fence post, door, sign) or enter a custom size.
4. Tap CALIBRATE once on a known distance for tighter estimates.
5. Tap USE IN WIND HOLD to send the range to the wind hold guide (rifle, bow, crossbow, muzzleloader) for a suggested hold in inches and MOA.

It's an estimate, not a laser, and not a ballistic calculator. Verify with your own dope. Camera images stay on your phone, and it works with no signal.

📷 Trail cams

1. Place a trail cam pin with MARK, right where the camera hangs.
2. Connect your camera brand in the trail cam settings. SpyPoint can sync the latest stills from the cloud, and Reveal is supported too. You can also share photos into the app.
3. Photos attach to the nearest cam, and Hunt AI ID helps sort what walked by.

Trail cams are part of Premium, with unlimited cams.

🤝 Close-Buddy partner GPS

1. Open Settings and find Close-Buddy.
2. Pair with your hunting partner and pick your avatars.
3. See each other live on the map, with distance and bearing to your buddy.

Close-Buddy live mutual GPS is Premium. Location sharing only runs when you turn it on.

🔋 Lite mode for older phones

1. Open Settings and turn on Lite mode.
2. Map layers and GPS refresh ease up, which is gentler on older phones and slow connections. A LITE chip shows when it's on.
